I love your photographs and I should love to know how you freeze the action so sharply. Are you using a seriously expensive camera or can anyone learn how to do this? The shutter lag on my elderly Minolta, even on "sports" setting, makes framing and freezing movement a very hit and miss affair, I'm afraid.

However I can reveal that eating snow and ice is apparently something that George shares with Clyde, who is still hunting out the patches of lying snow and emitting crunching sounds!
Best wishes,
Phil

Hi Phil
Im sorry to say that yes i am using a seriously expensive camera, well its not as much as some on the market, its a canon 40D, it cost me about £800 with a 28-135 lens,
One of the most important things with taking pictures is light and the best thing about an SLR is you can change the settings to get the fast shutter speeds to freeze the action!!
when the suns out and the light is reflecting of the water its easy but im still learning and have taken thousands of photos and only have a few good ones!!
but when the camera holds 2000 photos you can just click away, your bound to get a few good ones, then just delete the ones you dont want, you just have to remeber what
settings you used which is hard for me as i have a memorey span of a gold fish.
kind regards
martin
